AAUW SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

PLANO / COLLIN COUNTY BRANCH - PLANO, TEXAS

 

 

The Plano / Collin County Branch of the American Association of University Women is offering scholarships from monies earned during the 33rd AAUW Holiday Tour of Homes. Deadline for application is February 13, 2012, and applications postmarked after that date will not be considered.  Applications can be downloaded from this page and they will also be available at the guidance offices of most Collin County high schools, as well as the financial aid offices of Collin College, Southern Methodist University at Legacy, and The University of Texas at Dallas. You can also receive an application by sending a legal size, self addressed, stamped envelope to:

Please indicate which scholarship(s) you wish to receive an application for.  Applicants may apply for all categories in which they qualify, but must submit separate applications in each category.  For more information, contact Laurie Beardsley at scholarships@aauwplanocollin.org.

 

 

GRADUATING SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP

 (Awards up to $1,000)

 

Candidate must be a woman resident of Collin County or graduating from an accredited high school located in Collin County. She must be enrolling in an accredited undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university for the 2012-13 academic year (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester).  She must have a minimum 3.4 or higher grade point average.

 

CONTINUING UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

(Awards up to $1,000)

 

Candidate must be a current undergraduate female resident of Collin County or attending a college/university campus in Collin County, with a cumulative B average, attending on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) an accredited four-year or upper-level college or university for the 2012-13 academic year. 

 

BIGGERSTAFF COLLIN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

(Awards up to $500)

 

Candidate must be a woman resident of Collin County of any age who is graduating or has graduated from an accredited high school and is enrolling in an accredited undergraduate degree program at Collin College for the 2012-13 academic year (minimum of six credit hours per semester).

 

JUDY JONES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR A MATURE WOMAN

(Awards up to $1,000)

 

Candidate must be a woman resident of Collin County or attending a college/university campus in Collin County, 21 years of age or older, enrolling in at least six credit hours per calendar year in a qualified undergraduate or graduate degree program for the 2012-13 academic year.

 

PLANO/COLLIN COUNTY BRANCH SCHOLARSHIP

(One Award of $500)

 

Candidate must be a female Plano/Collin County Branch AAUW member who is enrolling for a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a qualified undergraduate or graduate degree program for the 2012-13 academic year.  The applicant must have completed one or more years of AAUW membership.
